Get ready to step into a world of exquisite beadwork, delicate porcelain, and timeless tradition! The annual CON NIGHT 2025 is here, and this year, we journey into the rich cultural tapestry of the Peranakan Baba Nyonya!

This is our chance to celebrate the end of a long academic year with a spectacular evening of fine dining, captivating performances, and the chance to dress in the stunning attire of the Straits-born Chinese community.

The Peranakan culture, a beautiful blend of Chinese and local Malay traditions, is renowned for its vibrant artistry and graceful customs:

• For the Nyonyas: Flaunt the gorgeous Batik Kebaya with intricate sulaman (embroidery), paired with sarong and traditional beaded slippers (kasut manek).
• For the Babas: Don the smart Baju Lok Chuan (a tunic-style shirt) or a sleek batik shirt, exuding classic elegance.
• The Atmosphere: Prepare to be immersed in a feast for the senses, with decorations inspired by intricate Nyonya porcelain and the colourful flowers of the Peranakan home.
• Feast on Flavours: Indulge in a menu that may feature delectable Nyonya cuisine, known for its unique sweet, sour, and spicy notes.
• Cultural Showcase: Enjoy mesmerizing performances, including traditional Joget and Dondang Sayang dances, perhaps even featuring some of our very own talented students!
• Best Dressed Contest: Showcase your creativity and adherence to the theme! Prizes await the most authentic and elegantly dressed Baba and Nyonya of the Night!
